SFS have been appointed to upgrade the fire resistance of concrete columns and shear walls to a new build student accommodation project in Birmingham. Due diligence by the new contractor discovered that there was insufficient cover to the shear walls and columns throughout the nine storey structure. SFS will replace the missing cover with an application of intumescent paint.
